The Chablis region is the northernmost wine district of the Burgundy region in France. The grapevines around the town of Chablis make a dry white wine renowned for the purity of its aroma and taste. In comparison with the white wines from the rest of Burgundy, Chablis wine has typically much less influence of oak. Most basic Chablis is unoaked, and vinified in stainless steel tanks.
Pale yellow color, clear and bright
Aromas of white-fleshed fruit, with a hint of spices. Mineral notes evolve as the aeration happens
Very energetic approach on the palate, lovely acidity, with mineral tension. Complex, with a long finish.
Excellent with poultry, grilled fish, asparagus, and currys. Great aperitif and a perfect match with umami tastes of sushi and sashimi. Also great with goat cheese or comté.
